Shows both English or Western
Show or trail this is a kid or “husband” horse. The kids show him in Hunter, Jumping, and Equitation. He has numerous High Points (for their age groups) at local shows. He has had everyone from 3 to 60 year old on him and he responds to all. He goes down the trail, front, rear or middle—he don’t care. He will go through water, step over logs, cross bridges, stands for the farrier, loads in the trailer, will stand all day to be brushed, clipped or washed!
He has been in a trainer’s barn for the past 9 years working as a lesson horse when he is not my trail horse. He rides mostly in a bitless bridle but I do use a snaffle and he will show in a curb. Sonny does trail obstacles crosses bridges, gates, etc. He will side pass, turn on the forehand, turn on the haunches, back through the trail rails and more advanced students do flying lead changes on him.
Health concerns have forced me to stop riding, so Sonny needs a loving home where he will be doing something and getting the attention he deserves!
